Fondée en 1934 par Louis (1890-1956) et Lucienne Lange (1900-1992) la Galerie L'Art français aura pignon sur rue au 370 avenue Laurier ouest, à Outremont. Des oeuvres d'artistes français et québécois y seront exposés.

Fleurimond Constantineau sera le premier artiste québécois a voir ses oeuvres y être exposé. Le peintre René Richard y tiendra sa première exposition en 1943.
